Error description

  • As part of CICS shutdown processing a SHUTD request is sent to
the terminal which returns a positive response. CICS should wait
for the terminal to send SHUTC before closing the session. The
terminal sends a CHASE command but CICS then UNBINDS after
sending the response even though no SHUTC has been received.

During shutdown CICS sends a SHUTD request to a terminal to
request shutdown as soon as convenient, at which time the
terminal will send a SHUTC SHUTDOWN COMPLETE.
In the reported problem the terminal sends a CHASE request after
receipt of the SHUTD to which CICS sends a positive response.
However CICS then UNBINDS the session even though the terminal
has not sent SHUTC.

Problem conclusion


    

  • DFHZRAC has been changed for the reported problem so that it
will not immediately UNBIND the terminal session after sending
the CHASE response.
