Error description

  • When the WSDL provided as input to DFHWS2LS contains over 1000
duplicate names, you will receive a message reporting
INTERNAL ERROR: Overflowed max num of name clashes.
This 1000-clash limit is arbitrary and is intended to prevent an
    error loop of creating names.

    ****************************************************************
DFHWS2LS is being used to generate a COBOL data structure from a
very large, complex WSDL file. Variable names generated from
repeating elements within the WSDL need to be unique. DFHWS2LS
generates unique names by appending an integer to the element
name. Java class UniqueNameGenerator is responsible for creating
the unique names. It has an arbitrary limit of 1000 for the
integer appended to the end of element names to create the
    unique name.

If the limit of 1000 is reached, DFHWS2LS terminates without
generating a complete data structure. The following message
    is written to stderr.

INTERNAL ERROR: Overflowed max num of name clashes.

Problem conclusion

  • The arbitrary limit of 1000 has been removed from Java class
    UniqueNameGenerator.
