Error description

  • The DFHMAINJ post installation job for CICS SFR highlights
    errros in DFHMASMD and DFHMAXCV.
    .
    In DFHMASMD - statement 52, continuation is in the wrong
    column causing the DEFINE QLOCAL to fail. For example if:
    - input to DFHMAINR was:
    - CICS.INITQ  CICSXX.INITQ
    - substitution string was 2 characters longer & the
    continuation character is 2 spaces too far to the right.
    - note that re-running the DFHMASET job is not easy since the
    job does not delete datasets that it allocates and the DEFINE
    QLOCAL command says "NOREPLACE".
    .
    In DFHMAXCV - comments in statements 1017 through 110017 are
    in the wrong columns for assembler input, causing the DFHCNV
    assembly to fail.

    * SFR samplib contain errors which cause *
    *                      post-install jobs to fail.              *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Samplib member DFHMASMD contains the option INITQ(cics.initq) in
    the middle of a Define Q Local, and as such also has a
    continuation character. DFHMAINR manipulates the information
    provided in the Define Q Local but fails to handle the
    substitution of the INITQ correctly and so moves its
    continuation character to the wrong column. This results in
    messages CSQN205I, CSQ9019E and CSQ9023E being produced.
    Samplib member DFHMAXCV is prefixed by comments which do not
    start in the correct column and this results in message IEB336I
    being issued when DFHMAXCV is included in DFHCNV.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHMASMD has been amended such that the parameter
    "INITQ(cics.initq)" is now the last statement in the DEFINE
    QLOCAL to which it belongs. As a result, it no longer contains
    a continuation character at the end of its line.
    DFHMAXCV has been changed such that all comment lines starting
    with an asterisk now begin in column 1, rather than column 6
    as was previously the case.
