Error description

  • Incorrect outputs are showed in Current contention losers, Peak
contention losers, ATIs satisfied by contention losers and
    function shipping requests.

It would appeared that TCSE1RY did not get incremented by
DFHZATT when the task started. It only got decremented when the
MRO session was FREE by DFHZISP during task termination.
Change team has recreated the problem.

Local fix

  • There is no local fix. Awaiting PTF.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Incorrect statistics for contention *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
There are two methods to specify the transaction id. to
be attached across an MRO connection. Either as the process
name on a BUILD ATTACH or as the first four characters of
    the data.
In the second case the statistics fields for Current
Contention Losers and Peak Contention Losers produced by
DFHSTUP are incorrect. These fields are TCSE1RY and TCSE1HWM.

Additional Keywords: Primary Secondary SEND RECEIVE

Problem conclusion

  • DFHZATT has been altered so it updates the statistics fields
    TCSE1RY and TCSE1HWM correctly.

Temporary fix

  • FIX AVAILABLE BY PTF ONLY
