Error description
When using EXE CICS WEB client API commands with URIMAP (e.g. EXEC CICS WEB OPEN URIMAP) and trying to establish an SSL connection through a proxy server, it can fail with an I/O error. Looking at the traces from the proxy server, the hostname will have blanks appended to the end. For example: . Client sez.. CONNECT www.myip.com :8002 HTTP/1.0 . The CICS region will see an HTTP 403 error, forbidden. What should appear instead is . Client sez.. CONNECT www.myip.com:8002 HTTP/1.0 . Notice that there are no more intervening spaces in the IP/PORT string. The failure can be seen in a CICS trace on a WB 0713 trace entry, as in the following: . WB 0713 WBCL EVENT - HOST FOR XWBOPEN EXIT 1-0000 19947FBE 2-0000 0011 3-0000 A6A6A64B 94A88997 4B839694 40404040 40 . followed by: . WB 0701 WBCL EXIT - FUNCTION(OPEN_SESSION) RESPONSE(EXCEPTION) REASON(PROXY_ERROR)
