Error description

  • Shutdown of a TOR which has never been logged onto results in
DFHAP0001 An abend (code 0C4/AKEA) has occurred at offset
              X'FFFFFFFF' in module DFHAPLI3.
DFHTM1797 System termination program has abended.
The abend0c4 occurs in module CEECCICS who has been called for
function ESTABLISH_LANGUAGE for program DFHZCQ. However, CICS
has already terminated LE prior to the attempt to load DFHZCQ.
    .
DFHWKP issues the LINK to DFHZCQ when attempting to warm
keypoint the terminals. Because no terminals were ever logged
onto, and the shutdown was issued by CPSM (so no consoles or
terminals were autoinstalled), DFHZCQ has not yet been loaded.
DFHZCQ is correctly defined as RESIDENT.

In the reported problem, a CPSM managed system brought up CICS
and then shut it down. During CICS startup, a group in the
first GRPLIST required use of DFHZCQ so it was autoinstalled.

A subsequent GRPLIST explicitly installed a definition for
DFHZCQ, but this replaced the definition for DFHZCQ, which
would force a reload of DFHZCQ on its next reference. CICS was
shutdown before this occurred and when DFHSTP attempted to take
a warm keypoint of the terminals, which required DFHZCQ, it was
loaded. But an attempt to call LE to establish its language
failed because, by now, LE had been terminated. This caused the
    0C4.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHSTP has been modified and will now ensure that DFHZCQ has
been loaded prior to terminating LE services.
