Error description

  • Setting up Internal Trace Parameters in the DFHSIT using the
    STNTRxx=(1,2) parameter as well as setting STNTR=1 results in
    the BR Component (3270 Bridge) to set to OFF. You can see this
    by entering CETR (CICS Trace Control Facility) and hitting PF4
    for Components will show you the following output:

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: BR domain tracing switched OFF when *
    * SIT override contains STNTRAP. *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    In module DFHPASY the STNTRxx SIT overrides are processed. In
    routine TESTALL, there is a check to see if the xx is equal to
    'AP' and if so then the AP domain bits are reset prior to
    processing the override. This erroneously turns off the Bridge
    Domain (BR) trace existence bits.

Problem conclusion

  • Module DFHPASY has been altered to only clear the first 2
    bits of the trace flag when AP is specified.

Temporary fix

  • FIX AVAILABLE BY PTF ONLY
