PK31791: USING CICS TS 3.1 COBOL TRANSLATOR DFHECP1$ AFTER APPLYING MAINTENANCE RECEIVES MESSAGES DFH7030I AND 07/03/06 PTF PECHANGE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After applying the following maintenance:  UK11039, UK15678,
  UK15820, UK15909.  The Translator Output shows the following
  messages DFH7030I and DFH7035I.

  You can see the folowing type of error in your output:

  The second line is left-justified and prefixed by an inverted
  comma on column 12.
  

Local fix

• If you move the DB2 precompiler before the CICS translator,
  then everything works smoothly.  If your using the DB2
  precompiler as well.

  When the CICS translator processes any EXEC SQL statements and
  encounters a literal value, it does not recognize when the end
  of the literal is found, and as such may later report that a
  continuation character is missing or that a literal is too long.
  This can also manifest itself as untranslated EXEC CICS
  statements when the DB2 precompiler is not used.
