Error description
At CICS/TS 3.1 now DFHWBCL is sending an HTTP 1.1 OPTION request to the server before the application data. DFHWBCL then issues a SOCK RECEIVE to get the HTTP 1.1 OPTION response. The server decide's to close the socket instead of sending the response. This error is percolated back to DFHWBCLI which return a DISASTER response. The server has probably decide to close the socket because it does not support HTTP 1.1.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A DFHWBCLI CONVERSE is receiving a * * wbcli_response of wbcli_response_ * * disaster. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** An application links to DFHWBCLI for function Converse, CICS sends an OPTION request to the remote server which responds by closing the socket connection. It is likely that the server closed the connection because it could not handle an OPTIONS request, possibly because it is at HTTP1.0 level. In this case CICS should close the connection and attempt to reconnect instead of failing the request. Additional keywords: HTTP1.1 wbcl_connection_closed gsk_err_socket_closed
Problem conclusion
DFHWBCL has been altered so that if an outbound OPTIONS request does not receive a response because the server has closed the connection, it will be assumed that the server is HTTP1.0 level and a reconnect will be attempted in order to create a new connection to allow the request to continue.
