Error description

  • When issuing an DB2 V8 NFM SQL GETDIAGNOSTICS statement in CICS,
    it is not being recognized. If there is a GETDIAGNOSTICS
    command in the program, it works fine. If CEDF is used, the
    panel output shows the following:
      STATUS:  ABOUT TO EXECUTE COMMAND
      CALL TO RESOURCE MANAGER DSNCSQL
      EXEC SQL (NOT KNOWN)
       DBRM=F53XBBB,  STMT=02097, SECT=00003
    There are not error messages or SQL Codes issued.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: EXEC SQL GET DIAGNOSTICS not recognised *
    *                      in CEDF                                 *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When debugging a program containing an EXEC SQL GET DIAGNOSTICS
    statement under CEDF, statement shows as "NOT KNOWN".
    This occurs because DFHD2EDF includes an out of date version of
    the DB2 macro DSNXRDI which does not include an entry in the
    statement table for 'GET DIAGNOSTICS' (added by UK14889).

Problem conclusion

  • DFHD2EDF has been recompiled to pick up DSNXRDI at UK14889 level
