    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: JVM fails to start when the *
    * ENABLEASSERTIONS option is used in *
    * the master JVM profile (DFHJVMCC). *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When the ENABLEASSERTIONS option is used in the master
    JVM profile (DFHJVMCC) the JVM fails to start as the
    ENABLEASSERTIONS option has not been processed by CICS.
    DFHSJ0801 is output stating that the JVM failed to start.
    This only affects the master JVM profiles, other profiles
    pass the ENABLEASSERTIONS option to the JVM correctly.

                         -ea -esa -da SYSTEMASSERTIONS
                         DISABLEASSERTIONS

Problem conclusion

  • CICS has been altered to process the ENABLEASSERTIONS,
    SYSTEMASSERTIONS, and DISABLEASSERTIONS options for master JVMs
    just as it does for other types.
