Error description

  • Apar PQ77762 applies to all transactions, not just those
    associated with terminals, the possibility to define a
    transaction SHUTDOWN(DISABLE/ENABLE) : it allows (or remove) the
    possibility that task is attached during shutdown.
    During shutdown a no-terminal transaction, defined as SHUTDOWN
    (DISABLE) and started via EXEC CICS START , was attached because
    DFHEIIC checks for SHUTDOWN(ENABLE/DISABLE) option during the
    ICE generation, even if it should be done during ATTACH.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Attach of non-terminal transaction, *
    *                      defined as SHUTDOWN(DISABLED), occurs   *
    * after CEMT P SHUT IMM has been issued. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    A task is initiated with a start interval. The transaction is
    defined with SHUTDOWN(DISABLED). Before the task is attached
    the CICS system is shutdown immediately. The task gets attached
    because the SHUTDOWN(DISABLED) setting is not being honored.
    This is caused because ATTACH, validate_trandef processing, does
    not check SHUTDOWN(DISABLED) for non-terminal tasks.

    Additional Keywords: ICE cszxstmi NOT_ENABLED_FOR_SHUTDOWN

Problem conclusion

  • DFHXMAT has been changed to check the SHUTDOWN setting for
    all tasks. If it is DISABLED and PERFORM SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE
    has been issued the task will not be ATTACHED and message
    DFHAC2007 will be issued.
