Error description

  • When using BMS paging, CICS creates internal TSQUEUES where
the name begins with the character string "**". Queue-name ** is
reserved for BMS data. This results in a build up of TSQUEUE
storage elements which are not being deleted. .
These actions happen when a user disconnects a terminal session
    rather than normal termination processing.
This results in MSGDFHTS1311 applid Temporary storage data set
is full and cannot be extended.

    ****************************************************************
When building a BMS logical message to be shipped to a remote
system, DFHTPS can suffer an abend due to disconnection of the
remote terminal. If this happens the BMS temporary storage for
the logical message is not cleaned up by DFHTPS and can
    accumulate on the AOR.
This can happen with a remote transaction sending a BMS page
to its direct terminal, or if a transaction specifically routes
a logical message to a remote terminal.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHTPS has been altered to clean up its associated
temporary storage queues after an abend during a BMS
    paging request.
