APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A SET TCPIPSERVICE IMMCLOSE is issued while another task,
    using the same TCPIPSERVICE, is in the middle of its
    BIND_XM_CLIENT processing during task attach time. By the time
    the task being attached exits DFHSOIS, for function INQUIRE,
    the TCPIPSERVICE has completed closure and the INQUIRE fails
    with:
    SOIS  EXIT  - FUNCTION(INQUIRE) RESPONSE(EXCEPTION)
    Returning to DFHSOXM with:
    SOXM *EXC* - INQUIRE FAILED FUNCTION(BIND_XM_CLIENT)
    .
    PK30905 resolved a DFHSO0002 dump being produced for code 0906
    when
    sois_response = sois_exception &
    sois_reason   = sois_unknown_client_address)
    .
    Trace point 0907 (tid_soxm_inquire_failed) should do the same
    when:      sois_response = sois_exception &
               sois_reason   = sois_unknown_session_token

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFHSO0002 CODE X'0907' when issuing     *
    *                      a CEMT SET TCPIPSERVICE IMMCLOSE.       *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    A CEMT SET TCPIPS IMMCLOSE is issued at the same time as a web
    request is received for the same service. The web request causes
    CWXN to be started and during its processing a DFHSOISM INQUIRE
    is issued. This is suspended on SOLOCK because DFHSOLS
    (processing the IMMCLOSE) has obtained the exclusive lock. By
    the time DFHSOIS gets control again, the socket has been deleted
    and the inquire fails with sois_unknown_session_token. DFHSOXM
    has no check for this reason code on an INQUIRE so issues a
    severe error and dumps with SO0002.
    Additional keywords: DFHSO0002 x'0907' MSGDFHSO0002

Problem conclusion

  • The severe_error routine of DFHSOXM has been changed.
    It will treat a DFHSOISM INQUIRE exception with reason
    sois_unknown_session_token as a soft error and bypass
    the message and system dump.
