Error description
You execute WSAT, used for Web Services two way commit from CICS. You receive DFHPI0507 followed by a message indicating that trying to register a unit or work to a remote WSAT failed (DFHPI0731) DFHAP0001 AN ABEND (CODE 0C4/AKEA) HAS OCCURRED AT OFFSET X'00000456' IN MODULE DFHWSATX - The program check is due to DFHWSATX trying to link to DFHWSATR after DFHPIAT returned a disaster response. DFHWSATX should not be trying to link in this case.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Abend 0C4 at offset x'456' in DFHWSATX * * when using WS-AT. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A webservice provider with Web Services Atomic Transactions (WS-AT) support is running in CICS. A request to run that webservice is received from WebSphere. Due to WS-AT being used CICS tries to register its interest in the transaction by sending a Register request to WebSphere. WebSphere encounters an error while processing this request and returns a SOAP Fault to CICS. DFHPIAT is called to parse the response. It is only looking for valid WS-AT messages so is unable to handle the SOAP Fault, returning an INVALID_MESSAGE response to its caller DFHWSATX. Due to a logic error in DFHWSATX,it attempts to link to DFHWSATR. During the setting up of the DFHPGLE parameter list (used to issue the link) an ABENDS0C4 occurs at offset x'456' in DFHWSATX. Messages DFHPI0500, DFHPI0731 and DFHPI0507 will also be issued when this problem occurs. Additional Keywords: WSAT 0C4 ABEND0C4 S0C4 WAS PI0500 PI0731 PI0507 msgDFHPI0500 msgDFHPI0507 msgDFHPI0731
Problem conclusion
The logic error in DFHWSATX has been corrected so that it no longer attempts to link to DFHWSATR when a SOAP Fault is received.
