Error description

  • You have ran DFHWS2LS against a wsdl file. When your
    application references a generated structure in this, it
    receives incorrect data.
    There is a problem in DFHWS2LS where it thinks that the
    structure in questions should be double word aligned rather
    than full word aligned.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFHWS2LS may not correctly align the *
    * generated C structure when it contains *
    *                      a variable repeat field.                *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    DFHWS2LS attempts to correctly align the fields in the
    generated structure, depending on the field type.
    Variable-repeating fields do not affect the overall structure's
    alignment as they are stored in a separate container. However
    this was ignored which lead to the overall container's alignment
    being calculated incorrectly due to basing the structure's
    alignment on the variable-repeating field. This produced
    incorrect offsets in both the C and C++ generated language
    structures.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHWS2LS has been updated to correctly align the generated
    structure when it contains variable-repeating fields.
