Error description

  • Customer has very old existing workload. It appears two
transaction definitions were, sometime in the past, altered to
change the DESCRIPTION field of the definition. Afterwards, an
Install of the workload would produce EYUWM0426 message
indicating the two altered transactions failed to be installed
due to already being installed via the same workload. However,
a WLMATRAN view from the WUI does not show the two transactions
    in question.

When a WLMDEF is dynamically installed into an active workload,
method EYU0WMWI (WMWI) verifies if the WLMDEF is already
installed in the workload, and if so, attempts to resolve any
differences between the original version of the WLMDEF, and the
current version. If the only difference is the description of
the WLMDEF or the WLMDEF update time, WMWI incorrectly fails the
install of the WLMDEF with EYULOG message EYUWM0426I indicating
that the WLMDEF is already installed, but performs a partial
install of the transactions associated with the WLMDEF's
TRANGRP. Subsequent attempts to install the transactions,
through the same WLMDEF/TRANGRP combination will continue to
fail with the same EYUWM0426I message. Because of the partial
install that occurs during the first install attempt, if the
transactions are moved to a different WLMDEF/TRANGRP
combination, the install of that WLMDEF will fail with the
EYUWM0426I message indication that the transactions are already
    installed.

Problem conclusion

  • WMWI has been updated to not fail the re-install of a WLMDEF if
the only difference between the new version and the previous
version is the WLMDEF description or the last update time.
Additionally, if WMWI does fail an install request because of a
problem with the WLMDEF or the TRANGRP, it will no longer
perform a partial install of the transactions associated with
    the WLMDEF/TRANGRP.
