Error description

  • Abend AKEC in looping module DFHSOS13 caused by corrupt socket
    chains when trying to acquire ipconn connections.

    *                      module DFHSOS13 and severe error        *
    *                      (code x'029F') in module DFHSOCK        *
    *                      could occur.                            *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    If at the maximum number of supported sockets when attempting
    to add an additional socket, a close of an unowned socket
    is made. This can result in the unowned socket chain becoming
    corrupt which normally results in a loop in DFHSOS13.

Problem conclusion

  • An EndIterator call was added to prevent the corruption
    of the socket unowned chain.
