Error description

  • Receive "3270 Display is Invalid" when trying to start a
debugging session using CADP. The terminal was filled in
automatically and then rejected. The problem appears to be that
CADP is NOT recognizing the "cent" sign, ᄑ, as a valid TERMID.
The AUTOINSTALL list of valid special characters DOES include
this symbol, so it appears CADP is not recognizing this as
    valid, when it should.

In the reported problem, CADP was used to define debugging
profiles. An attempt was made to define a profile whose
TERMID (TERM) field contained a cent character. CADP
rejected this with a response of 'Termid is Invalid'.

Problem conclusion

  • CADP module DFHDPFM has been modified and a cent character in
the TERM field will now be accepted.
