Error description

  • When an ABEND occurs within the EYU0VVID method the abend
information written to the log is truncated after 50 characters.

*                      EYUVS0998I and EYUVS0992S will be       *
*                      truncated after 49 characters if an     *
*                      abend occurs within module EYU0VVID.    *

* RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this    *
*                 APAR, all WUI servers must be recycled to    *
*                 pick up the new code.  Note that the         *
*                 restarts do not need to be done at the same  *
*                 time.                                        *
****************************************************************
The ABEND handling routine used by EYU0VVID uses a 29 byte
character array for messages.  This means that any message text
issued by this routine, that is longer than 29 bytes, will be
truncated.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The ABEND handling routine in EYU0VVID was updated to use a
larger character array to prevent the truncation of the message
text.
