Error description

  • The CICSPlex SM Web User interface issues an MVS DYNALLOC macro
as part of the process to import views and menus. This
dynamically allocates an import data set. This change adds a new
message to give details of the MVS return codes if the DYNALLOC
    request fails.

    * useful for resolving the problem. *

    * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this *
    * APAR, all Web User Interface servers must be *
    * recycled to pick up the new code. Note that *
    * the restarts do not need to be done at the *
    *                 same time.                                   *
    ****************************************************************
The WUI server did not report the error codes returned if an MVS
DYNALLOC request failed while importing WUI data repository
    definitions from a data set.

Problem conclusion

  • A new message, EYUVS1071E, has been added to give details of the
MVS DYNALLOC error codes when the macro request fails.

The WUI help information for this message is added by PK48732.

The CICS Transaction Server for z/OS Version 3 Release 2
CICSPlex SM Messages (GC34-6851-00), will be updated as
    follows:

EYUVS1071E Dynamic allocation of data set ( dsname ) failed.
    Return codes X'rrrr', X'cccc', X'dddd'.

    Explanation
While importing Web User Interface views or menus, an attempt to
dynamically allocate data set dsname has failed. The DYNALLOC
macro failed with return code rrrr. cccc is the SVC 99 error
reason code, and dddd is the additional SVC 99 error information
    code.

    System action
    Import processing is terminated.

    User response
For the meaning of the DYNALLOC return codes, see the z/OS MVS
    Authorized Assembler Services Guide.
