    ****************************************************************
When the CICS supplied WS-Security handler is deployed in a
Pipeline and configured to perform STS authentication it will
issue message DFHPI0512 if a fault is returned from the STS.
The message includes an insert which contains the SOAP faultcode
of the returned fault. This insert is sometimes missing.
In DFHPITC the length of the insert is incorrectly calculated
as X'FFFFFFFF' when the fault is more than 255 bytes long.
This causes the message domain to treat the insert as empty.

    Additional Keywords: MSGDFHPI0512

Problem conclusion

  • In DFHPITC the calculation of the length of the faultcode was
changed to use the indexl procedure, rather than the index
function. Indexl can search a string of up to a fullword in
length. This results in the correct length being calculated
when the searched data is greater than 255 bytes.
