Error description
When dynamic transaction routing an inbound Web service from a CICS TS V3.2 region (listener) to CICS TS V3.1 (AOR), the CICS TS V3.1 region produces the following messages: === DFHAP0002 IYCQST73 A severe error (code X'4E19') has occurred in module DFHAPCR. The CICS pipeline manager has encountered an error: target program unavailable The trace of the CICS TS V3.2 region shows several exception trace entries ending with AP 4E01 APCR EXIT IMPORT_ALL/EXCEPTION DATA_ERROR This is because a DSECT has been invalidly changed in CICS TS V3.2 so that it is 4 bytes out of step with the CISC TS V3.1 DSECT. This results in a word being treated as a data length indicator when it is actually the first word of the data itself.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An attempt to transaction route a * * Web service request from CICS TS 3.2 * * to CICS TS 3.1 fails. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Attempting to route a web services request from a CICS TS 3.2 region to a CICS TS 3.1 region fails. This is because one of the requeststream headers has changed length by 4 bytes. The effect of this is that the CICS TS 3.1 region receives invalid data and attempts to receive more data than are being sent by the CICS TS 3.2 region. This results in unpredictable failures on both sides. Typically, it is seen as a TC_ERROR response from DFHZARQ on the CICS TS 3.2 region and a BAD_RESPONSE_TO_DOMAIN_CALL IMPORT_ALL on the CICS TS 3.1 region. Additional Keywords: DFHAP0002 msgDFHAP0002 APCR02 abendAPCR02 msgDFHPI0997
Problem conclusion
DFHPIIS has been changed so that the requeststream headers have the correct length.
