Error description

  • Message EYUCP0206E may be issued during CMAS initialization if a
    CICSplex for which the CMAS was the Maintenance Point (MP) CMAS
    was removed previously, and an error occurred during the
    removal.

    The message will look similar to the following:

      EYUCP0206E Data repository definitions for CICSplex
                  <plexname> are incomplete.  Repository
                  Synchronization will bypass this CICSplex.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If an error occurs when removing the *
    * CPLEXDEF record for a CICSplex, the *
    * CICSplex may exist but will be in an *
    *                      unusable state.                         *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this *
    * APAR, all CMASes must be restarted. Note *
    * that the restarts do not need to occur at *
    *                 the same time.                               *
    ****************************************************************
    When a CPLEXDEF record is removed, method EYU0CCCR (CCCR) reads
    all the CPLXCMAS records for the CICSplex, and calls method
    EYU0CCPD (CCPD) to remove each CMAS from the CICSplex. Since
    CCCR reads the records in alphabetical order, it is possible
    that the MP CMAS can be removed from the CICSplex before all
    non-MP CMASes. If after the MP CMAS is removed, a subsequent
    error occurs when removing one of the non-MP CMASes, the
    CICSplex removal will fail, resulting in the CICSplex still
    being active, but without an MP CMAS. This will result in
    errors when trying to process the CICSplex.

Problem conclusion

  • CCCR has been updated to call CCPD to remove each non-MP CMAS
    first, and then to call CCPD to remove the local (MP) CMAS.
