Error description
When a CMAS network contains CMASes at CPSM release V3R2M0 and a previous release of CPSM, invalid results may occur if a file is added or removed in a MAS that is connected to the V3R2M0 CMAS, and joined to the lower release CMAS. If the file change occurs at the same time that the join is occurring in the lower release CMAS, the join will fail with message EYUTS0002E. Examination of the lower release CMAS's auxtrace dataset will show the following exception traces at the time of error: Method TPID Debug text ------ ---- ---------- MOXT 106 TAB_VER XQGQ 1 GETQXCP TSCJ 8 TSCJXQGQ TSSJ 10 TSSJTSCJ If the file change occurs after the MAS has already been joined in the lower release CMAS, the lower release CMAS will not recognize the change until the MAS is re-joined by the lower release CMAS. This can result in invalid EUI or WUI displays or actions, incorrect data returned to or invalid actions performed by API programs, or invalid RTA events. Similar exception traces will be written by the lower release CMAS at the time of the file change: Method TPID Debug text ------ ---- ---------- MOXT 106 TAB_VER XQGQ 1 GETQXCP TSCJ 8 TSCJXQGQ TICT 5 TICTTSCJ

Note * * that the restarts do not need to occur at * * the same time. * **************************************************************** When a file is added or removed in a MAS, a CRESFILE record is built in the CMAS to which the MAS is connected. The local CMAS uses the record to change the resource maps for the MAS, and then ships the record to other CMASes in the network, where the record is used to update the MAS's resource maps in the receiving CMASes. These resource maps are used by CPSM's single system image (SSI) processing to determine where to direct EUI, WUI, API and RTA requests. If the maps are incorrect, then requests may not be directed correctly. The CRESFILE record delivered at CPSM release V3R2M0 is a different version than with previous releases of CPSM. When a record is shipped from a V3R2M0 CMAS to a CMAS where the record version is lower, method EYU0MOXS (MOXS) running in the V3R2M0 CMAS converts the record to the version that the lower release CMAS recognizes. A logic error in MOXS causes the CRESFILE record to not be converted. As a result, when the lower release CMAS receives the record, it will fail when it tries to process the record, resulting in the exception traces written by MOXT, XQGQ and TSCJ noted above. If the update occurs at the same time that the MAS is being joined by the lower release CMAS, then the Join will fail with message EYUTS0002E, and the TSSJ exception trace will be written. If the update occurs after the MAS has been joined by the lower release CMAS, then the update will not be processed correctly, and the TICT exception trace will be written. .
Problem conclusion
MOXS has been updated to ensure that CRESFILE records are properly converted when being shipped from a V3R2M0 CMAS to a lower release CMAS.
