Error description

  • Your CMASs are CPIC connected. When you IPL, the CMASs
fail to connect, resulting in repository syncronization
failures. Eventually, the CMAS on the IPL'd system isolates the
    connecting CMAS.

On the IPL'd CMAS you see message: EYUCP0023E CMASA A
communications failure has occurred while performing Respository
Synchronization with CMAS (CMASB). That CMAS is being isolated.
On the other CMAS, you will see EYUCP0024E CMASB This CMAS is
being isolated at the request of CMAS (CMASA).
    Additional Symptoms and Keyword(s): EYUCP0024E EYUCP0023E
    EYUCL0113E EYUCS0105E

Local fix

  • Recycle the isolated CMAS.

    ****************************************************************
During a CICSPlex SM network topology change, method
EYU0CPAG (CPAG) is called to maintain the CICSPlex SM
DLST and TLST control blocks which are used by the
communications component to send requests to other CMASes.

If a CMAS is being removed from the CMAS network, for example
because it is being shut down, or communications with the CMAS
has been lost, then CPAG will attempt to Getmain some storage
to keep track of which CMASes can no longer be reached.

If this Getmain request fails, CPAG will return an exception
response to the caller and the DLST and TLST control blocks
    will be incorrect.

Because the DLST and TLST control blocks contain out of date
information, various communications related errors may occur
due to incorrect routing of requests.

Problem conclusion

  • EYU0CPAG has been changed to avoid a Getmain if the CMAS network
    contains less than 128 CMASes.

To aid in problem determination new message:

EYUCP0033I Disconnect requested for CMAS <cmasname>.
               Reason: <reason>.

will now be issued by methods EYU0CPDG, EYU0CPRL, EYU0CPTI
    and EYU0CSUC.

The EYUCP0033I message will be issued when one of the methods
requests that a CMAS to CMAS send link task is to disconnect
    from its partner system.

EYU0CTST has been changed so that EYU0CTST does not attempt
to Freemain an address of zero, which results in a CMAS
exception trace from method EYU0CTST with a point id of 22
and a debug text of CTSTXSCF.
