  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Amode 24 CICS DBCTL applications will   *
  *                      program check if IMS V10 DRA startup    *
  *                      table option PCBLOC=31 is used.         *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  IMS V10 DRA startup table option PCBLOC=31 causes the PCB
  address list and the PCBs to be placed above the 16MB line.
  This is incompatible with amode 24 applications.
  

Problem conclusion

• When CICS connects to DBCTL, IMS returns an indicator if
  PCBLOC=31 is in effect. During a PSB schedule request, CICS
  checks to see if PCBLOC=31 is in effect and the application is
  amode 24. If, so the application is abended with a new abend
  code ADCF.
  
  The CICS TS 3.1 Data Areas manual (LY33-6107-01)
  has been altered in section DSB DBCTL Scheduling
  block to amend (3) DSBPSFLAGS as follows

  The CICS TS 3.2 Data Areas manual (GC34-6863-00)
  has been altered in the same way.
  
  
  The CICS TS 3.1 Messages and Codes manual (GC34-6442-03)
  has been altered to add the following new abend code after
  ADCE:

  Explanation
  This abend is issued when the module DFHDLIDP detects that the
  CICS-DBCTL Interface has been configured using a DRA startup
  table (DFSPZPxx) which specifies option PCBLOC=31, and the
  application is amode 24.
  PCBLOC=31 specifies that the PCB address list and PCBs can be
  stored above the line. This is incompatible with amode 24
  applications.
  System Action
  CICS abnormally terminates the transaction with a transaction
  dump. CICS processing continues.
  User Response
  Linkedit the application amode 31, or change the DRA startup
  table option to PCBLOC=24.
