Error description

  • Work that has been routed into a CICS TS 3.2 region from a CICS
    Transaction Gateway V7.1 over an IPIC connection may fail
    in-doubt and be shunted by the CICS region. Each work item will
    have an XID that uniquely identifies it. A Gateway can at any
    time request a list of XIDs that are associated with units of
    work that are shunted and in-doubt. When a gateway issues this
    request it receives back a list of XIDs that may also include
    ones associated with units of work that are still in-flight.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When CICS receives an XA recover request it browses the list of
    RM links of type ISJU, and returns the XID data found in each of
    them. The browse finds all such links in the system at that time
    and fails to distinguish between those whose units of work are
    in-doubt, and those that are not.

    Additional Keywords: indoubt inflight rmlk rmc

Problem conclusion

  • DFHISRE has been changed to return only the XID data for those
    links that are in-doubt.
