Error description
You are using the CICS 3270Bridge and some BMS maps are not displaying properly when using DFHWBTTA (or DFHWBTTB). For example, you may see field names or variable names displayed on the Web browser such as: <input type= " onFocus=dfhinqcursor('F010010001_MY-FIELD- VARIABLE-INDEX.7')" size="1" . CICS module DFHWBBMS is in error and the problem may be seen if the following is done: - Field in the map defined as PROT,FSET. - SEND MAP issued changing the field attribute to UNPROT. - SEND MAP DATAONLY without specifying an attribute for the field. . In this case the field should remain unprotected and DFHWBBMS handles that correctly, however code to add an HTML hidden field (used for protected fields with MDT on) is invalidly driven and that creates the extra HTML that corrupts the output.
Local fix
Use DFHWBTTC to dynamically generate the output for the Web browser. This is the preferred method if you do not require heavy customization of the BMS map html templates.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Incorrect display using 3270 Web * * Bridge. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Utilising the 3270 Web Bridge facility with DFHWBTTA or DFHWBTTB a map containing a protected MDT field is dynamically altered to unprotected MDT. A send map is issued followed by a receive map and then a send map with dataonly. This causes incorrect data to be displayed on the browser because the PROT MDT setting is being picked up from the map and a hidden field generated. With dataonly there should be nothing picked up from the map.
Problem conclusion
DFHWBBMS has been changed to only set the PROT/MDT from the map if dataonly has not been specified.
