    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Unexpected msgDFHFC0001 in DFHFCRF, *
    *                      and a system dump, after an ABENDAZI6.  *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    After a shutdown immediate of an FOR, all tasks on the AOR
    that had function shipped file control requests that were still
    active, eg a browse, failed with an abend AZI6. This is
    expected. However DFHFCRF's recovery routine issued msgDFHFC0001
    which took a system dump before percolating the abend.
    At earlier releases of CICS the message was not issued, and
    therefore the unwanted system dump was not taken.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHFCRF's recovery routine has been amended. If the recovery
    routine was driven due to an abend on the connected FOR, then
    msgDFHFC0001 will not be issued, and so no system dump will
    be taken. The abend instead will simply be percolated.
