Error description

  • ABEND0C4-11 IEAVEPST+x'1420' when modules EYU9NLDCNLDCissues a
POST SVC (x'0A02')and when module EYU9NLIDNLIDissues a POST SVC
.the POST SVC fails with a S202-0C. The ECB was
EXEC CICS WAIT EVENT under the QR TCB. CPSM is executing under
L8 TCB . Therefore a S0C4-10 occurs trying to get access a tran
iso ECB that belongs to the task that was waited under the QRTCB
. The WAITED task was a TRANACTION ISOLATED task. the CPSM task
is running in a subspace and is not allowed to touch storage
    that belongs to other tasks.

The CICSPlex SM Global User Exits (GLUE) programs are defined
with EXECKEY(CICS). As such they expect to receive control in
the base space if Transaction Isolation is active.

However CICS may not switch to base space when a GLUE is called.

As the CICSPlex SM GLUEs typically issue the MVS POST macro
against an ECB waited on by another CICS task, the CICS
dispatcher POST exit routine (DFHDSPX) gets called in the
    subspace mode of the caller.

As part of the DFHDSPX processing, an additional MVS POST may be
issued to re-dispatch the CICS QR TCB. If this POST causes the
MVS POST routine IEAVPST to gain control in subspace mode, then
the abend 202 may occur as IEAVPST attempts to touch ECBs in
    another subspace.

Problem conclusion

  • Because CICS may not call EXECKEY(CICS) defined GLUEs in base
space, the following CICSPlex SM GLUEs have been updated so
that they will switch to base space if they need to perform
    any work:

      EYU9NLDC - XDUREQC
      EYU9NLDR - XDUREQ
      EYU9NLID - XRSINDI
      EYU9NLME - XMEOUT (MAS)
      EYU9NLSO - XSNOFF
      EYU9NMST - XSTOUT
      EYU9NMTE - XMNOUT
      EYU9XLGR - XPCTA
      EYU9XLME - XMEOUT (CMAS)
      EYU9XLSR - XSRAB

CICS will switch back to the tasks subspace if necessary after
    the GLUE has completed processing.

To allow the GLUEs to switch to base space, EYU9XLEV has been
updated to copy the CICS Storage Manager Transaction Isolation
    token to the XLWA.
