Error description

  • When using TCPIPHOSTNAME(LOOPBACK) and trying to view Active
Tasks, IE returns the following message: Action canceled,
Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you
requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable. If you
look closely the message "EYUVC1300 Processing request" will
flash up first before the IE message. The problem is related to
the time taken to collect the data and return it to IE.

Message EYUVC1300I is generated by method EYU0VPTP (VPTP -
Render Callback page) when a WUI request takes more than twenty
    seconds to complete.

Included in the page that contains the EYUVC1300I message is an
HTTP refresh statement. The HTTP refresh contains the hostname
that the web browser should contact to wait for the request to
    complete.

The hostname that VPTP is putting into the HTTP refresh is not
honoring the TCPIPHTTPHOST WUI system parameter. Instead the
hostname used is from TCPIPHOSTNAME WUI system parameter.

If the hostname identified by TCPIHOSTNAME is not reachable by
the web browser then the reported error will occur.

Problem conclusion

  • VPTP has been changed so that it calls method EYU0VWXP (VWXP -
Read URL prefix from CWI) to get the hostname used on the HTTP
refresh. As VWXP will honor the TCPIPHTTPHOST value, the correct
    hostname will be used.
