Error description

  • A Service Flow MAP Screen is presented to the USER. This MAP
is initialized to set the Attributes on Fields to allow entry
of Required Fields. However, the Program does not recognize the
Attributes have been changed and gets an error indicating that
the user is trying to insert data into a Protected Field.
    .
It appears that code in DFHMAVCP is causing fields S-MOVE-TYPE
(DFH0032) and S-METRIC-IND (DFH0035) to set to Protected Fields.

    ****************************************************************
In the reported problem, a service flow presented to the
user, a map that contained protected fields which should have
    been unprotected.
                                                                   .
DFHMAVCP had an indexing mechanism to process all named fields
in the physical map and ADSD. This mechanism should have skipped
GRPNAME fields but DFHMAVCP only skipped GRPNAME fields for the
ADSD. As a consequence, the sequencing for ADSD and physical map
fields got out of step. This manifested itself to the end user
as a protected field which should have been unprotected. This
was due to the fields attribute byte changing when it should not
    have.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHMAVCP has been modified to process the GRPNAME fields in the
physical map and the ADSD in step.
