APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When using the WUI under CPSM version 3.2, you may receive an
EYUVH0500E Internal server error message when you click the MAP
button to map out an object such as a Program, File, etc. This
would occur only for custom views that were originally created
    on CPSM version 3.1.
    .
When this occurs, exception trace entries are written to the
trace table. The exception trace entries would be for
transaction COVA. The first exception in the series would be
from method VAGM, with debug text BADOWNR. The owner would be
    traced out as 'MAS'.

Local fix

  • You must edit each of the affected views (although you do not
actually have to change anything). For each customized viewset,
do the following in the View Editor:
     .
     1. Select "View sets"
     2. Select "Edit"
     3. Select a custom view set and click OK
     4. For each tabular and detail view
        a. Select the view and click Edit
        b. Click "7 Tabular|Detail View display options"
        c. (Do not make any changes on this screen) Click OK to
            update
        d. Click OK; repeat from <a.> for next view
     5. When all tabular and detail views have been edited, click
         SAVE
     6. Click Finish

When support for the Map function was added, all view defi-
nition objects were expanded dynamically to add the control
flag, but the flag was not properly initialized. When the view
definitions were exported and imported into a V3R2M0 server, the
map_avail flag byte contained residual data. A logic error in
module EYU0VHVV (VHVV - WUI Render View) caused the residual
data to be passed as valid flag values to called modules. In
addition a check was placed in module EYU0VHVB (VHVB - Render
Buttons) when MAP support was added to earlier releases of CPSM
by PTF which prevented the MAP button from being rendered on
views displaying resources for which mapping is not supported.
However that check was never added to the base for V3R2M0.

Problem conclusion

  • Module EYU0VHVV was modified to propagate the map control
flag without modification. The test which allowed the MAP but-
ton to be rendered only for resources for which maps are valid
was restored to module EYU0VHVB. WUI Export and Import service
packages DYU0VVEI and DYU0VVIC were modified to perform range
validation on enumeration fields, replacing invalid values with
    zero.

Comments

  • You created custom versions of WUI
viewsets for Operate resources in a
version of CPSM prior to V3R2M0. The
    definitions were then exported via
the COVC transaction and imported into
a server executing V3R2M0 of CPSM.
When the customized views are ren-
dered a MAP button is displayed on the
action bar. Clicking the MAP button
    results in message:

        EYUVH0500E Internal server error
