Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CICS abends with message DFHRM0002, * * after an AKEA abend (0C1) in DFHDTUP * * and an ASRA abend in DFHFCRC. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** If an EXEC CICS rewrite command is issued against a record in recoverable User Maintained data table and the data space used by CICS for that data table is already full then a NOSPACE condition is returned. This will result in a backout element being created although it will not be marked as inflight. Within the same unit of work, the same record is deleted or replaced successfully, this again creates another backout element but is marked inflight. The unit of work is then committed via a syncpoint. At this time the backout elements are processed and this results in the old version of the record being deleted twice. This error is detected and a deliberate program check is issued by executing a half word of zeros at eye-catcher DTDMFREE in DFHDTDM. This program check results in message MsgDFHRM0002, and brings CICS down. R1 at the time of the 0c4 may contain a value of 000C0FB8 or similar. Problem conclusion
DFHDTRM has been changed so that if the UMT is recoverable then the backout element will be discarded after nospace error if it is not marked inflight.
