PK67954: UNABLE TO USE WUI TO DEFINE EXTRAPARTITION TDQ FOR OUTPUT WITH RECORDFORMAT OF UNDEFINED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Using CEDA, an Extra-partition TDQueue with TYPEFile(OUTPUT) can
  be defined leaving RECORDFormat blank.
  Under the WUI however, on EYUSTARTTDQDEF.CREATE, the only
  options for Record Format are 'undefined', 'variable' and
  'fixed'.   If you leave this as 'undefined' on an extrapartition
  queue with Data set type of OUTPUT, the create will fail giving:
  EYUVC1231E  'Create' (CREATE) request failed. Request complete
              for 0 records. (Tableerror, Dataerror)
  EYUVC1272I  Action (CREATE) failed. Attribute data invalid (1).
  EYUVC1271I  Action (CREATE) failed due to attribute, 'Record
              format' (RECORDFORMAT).
  EYUVC1271I  Action (CREATE) failed due to attribute, 'Data set
              type' (TYPEFILE).
  If you change it to Data set type of INPUT, the create will
  work.

  EYU0BACL (BACL - BAS Create/Update TDQueue Definition Method
  Receiver) does not support a RECORDFORMAT of UNDEFINED for a
  Transient Data Queue (TDQ) type extra and data set type output.
  

Problem conclusion

• BACL has been changed to include the necessary support for the
  UNDEFINED value for RECORDFORMAT when the TDQ type extra is for
  a data set type of output.
  

Temporary fix

• FIX AVAILABLE BY PTF ONLY
