Error description

  • EXEC CICS INQUIRE TSQUEUE AT('xxxxxxxx') position the browse
at the wrong spot when the AT parm is 8 characters long.
    .
For example on this series of commands:
EXEC CICS WRITEQ TS QUEUE('TBRW004') FROM(AREA)
EXEC CICS WRITEQ TS QUEUE('TBRW0051') FROM(AREA)
EXEC CICS WRITEQ TS QUEUE('TBRW0052') FROM(AREA)
EXEC CICS INQUIRE TSQUEUE START AT('TBRW0052')
    EXEC CICS INQUIRE TSQUEUE(HERE) NEXT
    EXEC CICS INQUIRE TSQUEUE END
    ---------------------------------
The INQUIRE TSQUEUE NEXT returns TBRW0051 rather than the
    expected TBRW0052

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
Due to incorrect positioning within the binary tree of temporary
storage queue nodes, INQUIRE TSQUEUE NEXT or TSQNAME NEXT can
return incorrect queue data, specifically the preceding queue to
the one that should be returned.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHTSUT has been amended to correctly position the browse
    cursor.
