Error description

  • DFHAP0001 An abend (code 0C1/AKEA) has occurred at offset
    X'FFFFFFFF' in module DFHMQTRU.
    .
    The abend0C1 occurs due to a bad branch (BALR 14,15) from
    CSQAVICD who is attempting to branch to the conversion exit
    program. The address of the exit program is in ABLK.pExitInvoke.
    In prior releases, ABLK.pExitInvoke is loaded in CSQCTRUE with
    the address of CSQCAEXI which is part of the CSQCTRUE load
    module. The CICS equivalent module DFHMQTRU doesn't do this.
    Instead, ABLK.pExitInvoke is loaded in DFHMQCON.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: S0C1 abend at offset x'FFFFFFFF' in *
    * module DFHMQTRU when invoking data *
    *                      conversion.                             *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    DFHMQTRU uses the address stored in the pExitInvoke field of the
    internal ABLK control block to set up access to the data
    conversion routine. This does not allow for the fact that the
    address within pExitInvoke may no longer be valid, and this
    requires a restart of the CICS region.
    Problems can also occur because another ABLK field pFailArea may
    not be properly initialised, giving rise to message DFHMQ0416.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHMQTRU has been altered such that field pFailArea is now
    initialised, and the link deck for DFHMQTRU has been amended
    to include CSECT DFHMQAEX, the address of which is stored into
    field pExitInvoke.
