Error description

• CICSPlex SM Web User Interface users using the data interface
  may receive a HTTP 500, 'Server Error' message when attempting
  to use DATA/FETCH against a result set containing CMAS or MAS
  records.

  *                      (WUI) Data Interface command DATA/FETCH *
  *                      may fail with an HTTP 500 Server Error  *
  *                      response when MAS or CMAS objects are   *
  *                      fetched.                                *

  *                      Examination of the WUI trace dataset    *
  *                      will show that method VODG raised an    *
  *                      exception with a trace point if of 24   *
  *                      and debug text of UKCDIR.               *

  * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this    *
  *                 APAR, all Web User Interface servers must    *
  *                 be recycled to pick up the new code.  Note   *
  *                 that the restarts do not need to be done at  *
  *                 the same time.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  The MAS and CMAS resource tables have attributes that use an
  attribute type of BITSTRIP.
  
  When these BITSTRIP related attributes are requested using the
  WUI DATA/FECTH command, method EYU0VODG is called to convert
  the BITSTRIP value from internal format to data interface
  format.
  
  As EYU0VODG is missing the data interface conversion support
  the reported exception is raised.
  

Problem conclusion

• EYU0VODG has been updated to add support for the data
  interface.
  

Temporary fix

• FIX AVAILABLE BY PTF ONLY
