Error description
Your WAST transaction hangs and CICS hangs. You recieve message DFHPI0733 A TRANSACTION TIMED OUT WHILE WAITING FOR A PREPARE MESSAGE FROM A REMOTE WS-AT COORDINATOR. THE UNIT OF WORK - X'' WILL BE ROLLED BACK. This is caused when the second request from WAS on z/Linux is issued and the logic of pirs_switch_to_qr is missing from DFHPIRS.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users with UK33905 applied. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR fixes several problems in * * CICS Web Services. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The following problems in CICS Web Services are being fixed: 1. With HPO=YES a CICS Web Services Atomic Transactions (WS-AT) participant can hang during UOW backout. This is the same as the problem reported by PK44153. PTF UK33905 regressed that fix leading to a hung CICS system when recovery manager calls were made on an L8 TCB instead of the QR TCB. 2. Message DFHPI0733 is no longer being issued. PTF UK33905 incorrectly removed the code to issue this message. 3. The instructions supplied with UK33905 were incorrect. They specified that a COLD start should be performed. Doing so led to PIRS RM links from before the PTF was applied to be processed leading to an 0C4 abend in DFHPIRE. 4. Message DFHDS0002 with error code X'0075' and a system dump are issued when using WS-AT. This occured after the suspend token used with requeststreams was resumed by both tasks involved. Both RESUMEs work without error. The first sets the STATE of the token to RESET and the second sets it to RESUMED. When the token is finally deleted during DFHRZTA TERMINATE processing, the dispatcher finds that the STATE is not reset and issues msgDFHDS0002. Problem conclusion
UK33905 1. The fix for PK44153 has been reinstated. 2. DFHPIPM has been altered to issue DFHPI0733 again. 3. The tracking comments have been rewritten to give correct instructions. 4. DFHPIPM has been altered to only resume the timed out suspend token once, allowing it to be deleted properly.
