PK72025: DATA ASSOCIATED WITH A MODIFY COMMAND ISSUED FROM A CONSOLE TO CICS IS LOST CAUSING DFH4200 WHEN APPLICATION ISSUED RECEIVE

Error description

• You are running CICS transaction server 3.1, using automation
  software that issues modify commands to a CICS region.  Here
  is an example: /F CICSREG,TRAN XXXX
  Where XXXX is the data associated with the TRANsaction to be
  initiated.  On a rare occasion, you find that one of these
  TRANsactions is hung in the following wait: ZCIOWAIT DFHZARQ1
  On the console you find the following message:
  DFH4200 Jobname TRAN
  This means the application has issued a TC READ request to
  the console, and is waiting for a reply from the console.
  The real problem is, the data associated with the modify
  command has been lost.  CICS put this data in a TIOA, but
  the TIOA was incorrectly freemained prior to the task actually
  running.

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  A MODIFY request comes in to a Console TCTTE, and it is
  processed and the task completed. Before the task is fully
  detached, another request comes in and is assigned to that
  Console. This request has some data associated with it, which is
  placed into a TIOA. The cleanup of the first task is completed
  which results in the TIOA for the TCTTE being freed. When the
  second task is allowed to run, it finds its data is missing.

Problem conclusion

• DFHZCNA has been changed to test if the Task Detach bit TCTCEDT
  is on, if so, defer the processing of a new console request.
