    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    An EXEC CICS START with the PROTECT option is function shipped
    from a CICS region to an IMS region over an LU61 link. An
    RTIMOUT value has been set for the CICS profile DFHCICSF which
    is used for function shipping. A timeout occurs during Syncpoint
    of the START (Syncpoint takes place because of the PROTECT
    option). Message DFHAC2231 reports transaction CSMI has abended
    ASP1 and that the unit of work is shunted until contact is
    restored. This is followed by DFHRM0106. The unit of work can
    only be recovered by using CEMT to Release and then Acquire the
    IMS session involved in the START.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHZIS1 has been altered to check if an ABENDAZCT has occurred
    for an IMS link and if so, a CLSDST and SIMLOGON is queued for
    the link.
