Error description

  • PE42756-F901
    After installing the PK70038/UK42036 (3.1) or PK70782/UK42756
(3.2) then the REFRESH button on a Web User Interface Detail
    view will not operate correctly.
    .
When the REFRESH button is used, then the first record in the
CICSPlex SM API result set will be displayed, not the one that
    the user originally selected.
    .

Local fix

  • Remove UK42036 (3.1) or UK42756 (3.2)

When a detail view is launched from a tabular view, the incoming
request contains HTTP query variables in order to identify the
key of the record to be displayed.

If the 'REFRESH' button is used on the detail view, the incoming
HTTP data stream is not saved. Instead the previously saved HTTP
data stream is used to identify the key of the record.

PK70782 included a change to allow the Automatic refresh
control to be shown on a summary view.

To allow the Automatic refresh control to inherit the settings
of the previous view, EYU0VISX was changed to save the incoming
HTTP data stream associated with the request. This change
causes the previous HTTP data stream (containing the key data)
    to be lost.

Because the key information is not available, the 'REFRESH'
button processing displays the first record for the view's
    associated object.

Problem conclusion

  • EYU0VISU has been changed to save record key information
whenever it is requested to build the HTML for a 'REFRESH'
request. This means that the key information is available, so
that it is safe for EYU0VISX to save the incoming HTTP data.
