Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICSPlex SM V3R2M0 Users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After installing PTF UK36890 for APAR * * PK79671, applications that use the * * CICSPlex SM WUI Data Interface with a * * CICSPlex SM WUI server running with * * either: * * * * - GLOBALPREFILTER(YES) * * - 'Force filter confirmations' active * * on the users CICSPlex SM WUI user * * group profile * * * * will receive a NODATA response on all * * DATA/GET requests. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this * * APAR, all CICSPlex SM Web User Interface * * servers must be recycled to pick up the new * * code. Note that the restarts do not need * * to be done at the same time. * **************************************************************** PTF UK36890 changed EYU0VISX so that the if the WUI user was subject to filter confirmations (either via the GLOBALPREFILTER WUI system parameter or the 'force filter confirmations' WUI user group option), then a 'filter confirmation required' flag is set on. During processing of WUI requests, if EYU0VAGT (CICSPlex SM API GET) is invoked and the 'filter confirmation required' flag is on, then a NODATA response is generated. When the HTML for the WUI view is built, the NODATA response and flag setting are used to request the filter confirmation. For a DATA/GET request, the 'filter confirmation required' flag should never be set on.
Problem conclusion
EYU0VISX has been updated to bypass the setting of the 'filter confirmation required' flag if the request is associated with a CICSPlex SM WUI Data interface request.
