Error description

  • When a Web Services is configured for VALIDATION(YES), you may
receive message DFHPI1007, indicating the incorrect input is an
    XML_FORMAT_ERROR.
This occurs because the data in the buffer being passed to
DFHPICC is expected to be in CCSID 037, but is instead in CCSID
1208 due to validation having taken place.

CICS is being used as a WEBSERVICE provider, where validation
has been turned on for this WEBSERVICE. DFHPITL obtains the
SOAP body in the LOCALCCSID. DFHPIVAL is called to validate the
data, and replaces it with a UTF-8 version (code page 1208).
DFHPICC gets back the data in 1208 when it expects it in the
local code page, and fails to parse the data, issuing message
    DFHPI1007 indicating an XML_FORMAT_ERROR.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHPITL has been amended to ensure that after validation the
SOAP message being processed is in the correct code page.
