Error description

  • Customer connects to a CICS routing region using both CICS MQ
Bridge and CTG with EXCI. In each case, the customer define a
DPL in the routing region to DPL to an AOR. The program for the
DPL is defined with a specific transaction id for the mirror
transaction name for remote attach. The mirror transaction name
for remote attach is XXXX,(modeled after CSMI). As a result, the
first transaction to run in the routing region is CSMI. It
links to the program that inturn excutes the program in the
AOR under the XXXX transaction. This works without issue when
using the CICS MQ Bridge and CTG with EXCI. However, when I
use CTG with IPIC, the program still runs under the CSMI
transaction in the AOR instead of XXXX.

    ****************************************************************
CICS transaction gateway APAR PK86772 alters the behaviour of
the gateway when using IPIC connections to CICS. This was to
correct the reported problem. After this APAR, CTG will only
pass a TRANSID in the DPL request if the CTG application has
specified one. DFHMIRS overwrites EIBTRNID with the TRANSID
passed by CTG even if no TRANSID is passed. This will result in
a TRANSID of nulls when the mirror task runs in the region which
    receives the request from CTG.

Comments

  • DFHMIRS has been changed so that EIBTRNID is only updated for an
IPIC attached mirror task if CTG passes an TRANSID.
This APAR also reships the CMAC update for abend code AITM.
