Error description

  • After upgrading z/OS 1.9 maintenance, a DFHSJ0515 message is
issued indicating a problem with the classpath (in this case,
the shareable application class path) defined in the properties
file. If you comment out this path, the message does not
    occur.
    .
As a side note, the text of the DFHSJ0515 message indicates the
problem is with java.class.path when it is actually with the
    shareable class path.

Message DFHSJ0515 is issued after an upgrade of z/OS
maintenance. The message is incorrectly reporting a problem
    with the JAVA property ibm.jvm.shareable.application.class.path.
The message is issued because DFHSJPJP incorrectly concludes
that a worker JVM is being created when in fact it is the master
    JVM.
The problem arises because no SJTCB block exists when creating
the master JVM but DFHSJPJP assumes that one is present.
DFHSJPJP references low core when attempting to test if the
    sjtcb_worker flag is on.
The area referenced by this test is FLCCVT (the CVT address).
This address changed after an upgrade of z/OS maintenance
exposing the incorrect test by DFHSJPJP.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

  • FIX AVAILABLE BY PTF ONLY

Comments

  • DFHSJPJP has been changed to check if an SJTCB block exists
    before testing the SJTCB_WORKER flag.
