Error description
You will see CEDA DISPLAY commands displays garbage and scrolls to unpredictable object whenever queries for every program objects in all groups. If you issue the command as "CEDA DI G(*) PROG(*)" and you scroll through the screen, CEDA will display well for some amount of objects. However, when you scroll the screen to next page, at some point then CEDA displays garbage and points wrong object. If you then to scroll backword one page then CEDA displays from the 1st page. Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Incorrect display when scrolling * * through results of CEDA DISPLAY * * or EXPAND with generic GROUP * * which returns more than 32767 * * matches. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Scrolling through the results of a CEDA DISPLAY or EXPAND command for a generic group name will cause incorrect screen output after more than 32767 matches have been returned from the browse of the CSD. This can take the form of garbage output, PROG755, or an inability to continue scrolling. The use of a halfword to contain a fullword count is leading to a corruption of the output tioa. The same problem can happen with a generic EXPAND LIST or DISPLAY LIST command, provided there are enough matches for the generic argument. In practice a generic DISPLAY GROUP or LIST will probably only generate enough matches to encounter the problem if a generic object is also specified (eg CEDA DISPLAY LIST(*) GROUP(*) or CEDA DISPLAY GROUP(*) PROGRAM(*)). Additional keywords: DIS EX GR(*) PROG(*)
Problem conclusion
DFHESP55 has been altered to ensure that a fullword is used to hold the total number of results returned.
