Error description

  • 3270 web bridge receive map cursor is not working, MAPFAIL.
    The problem here is that DFHWBTCC is not setting the cursor bit
    in the ADS at all. EIBCPOSN is being correctly set on every
    RECEIVE MAP but the ADS is not being updated.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Attribute byte indicating presence of *
    * cursor (DFHBMCUR) not set for map *
    *                      generated with CURSLOC=YES.             *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    A 3270 based BMS application issued a RECEIVE MAP and used a
    field's attribute byte to determine the presence of the cursor
    within a particular map field. If the cursor was present then
    the x'02' (DFHBMCUR) bit of the byte was set. However when run
    via the 3270 Web Bridge (DFHWBTTC) the DFHBMCUR bit was not set
    even though the cursor was in the corresponding field.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHWBTCC has been modified to correctly set the DFHBMCUR bit
    when the cursor is present in the corresponding input field.
