Error description

  • When an EXEC CICS LINK PROGRAM is used by an application
program on a CICS TS 4.1 region to perform a DPL request
to another CICS region and communication between the two
regions is using an IPCONN, an incorrect RESP2 value can
be returned. If the EXEC CICS LINK PROGRAM command produces
a SYSIDERR condition because the request to allocate a session
to the remote system was rejected, the value returned
    in RESP is incorrect.

    ****************************************************************
An EXEC CICS LINK PROGRAM is executed to perform a DPL request.
This involves a request to allocate a session with an IPCONN
    to the target CICS region.
The IPCONN has attribute MAXQTIME(NO) and at the time of
the request to allocate a session with the IPCONN there are
no free sessions. The EXEC CICS LINK PROGRAM command fails
with a SYSIDERR condition but with an incorrect RESP2 value of
    32 instead of 31.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHEPC has been changed to set RESP2 to 31 if a
DFHISIS FUNCTION(CONVERSE) call fails with an exception
response and a reason of either QUEUE_LIMIT_REACHED
    or QUEUE_PURGED.
